After some initial issues getting my ADSL line up and running, I have been very happy over the past two years.
On the Huawei Modem WAN\DSL status page my figures were roughly as follows:
Upstream Max Rate - 1100
Downstream Max Rate - 11000
Upstream Line Rate - 1000
Downstream Line Rate - 10000
With the above, my ping was consistently under 20 ms, download speed of 7.5 mbps and upload 0.80 mbps.
Over the last two months I have logged numerous calls as there has been a noticeable drop in performance to roughly the following:
Downstream Max Rate - 7000
Downstream Line Rate - 5000 - 6000
This translates in fairly similar ping but download speed has dropped to about 5.5mbps, upload roughly the same.
After one of the calls was closed, it was briefly back to the first set of data.
My contract period has recently come to an end, so is this possibly an attempt to get me to re-sign?
I have to date not received an answer or explanation in this regard.
