In December 2015 Telkom offered me an upgrade from my current 4MB to 10MB.
I specifically asked if this was available due to the distance from my property to the exchange.
Telkom confirmed that it was indeed available.
According to the technicians that have since been to my house for faults, I have never received 10MB and will not receive this speed until Telkom upgrades their infrastructure. So they are recommending that I go back to 4MB.
On the 20th Jan I tried to downgrade back to 4MB. Telkom did not contact me.
On the 3rd Feb I tried to follow up on the downgrade and apparently it still hasnt been processed.
I am being billed double what I used to pay for a service I never got.
I am in desperate need of assistance.

Oh, Minisum, once fixed do call telkom billing and ask them to give you a rebate for the time you have paid for a 10Mb line but was only receiving 4Mb. They will investigate. It does take time though but they will do it. Just monitor you account statement.

I have this exact problem - Please can someone contact me to discuss what to do - I have tried to raise a dispute with telkom but it was dinied..

I have the same problem - I am paying for a 10mb line but only have a 4mb line installed I have been trying to change this for a year...I just want to download to my actual line which is 4mb..Please help.
