This is a Communication sent to affected customers this morning related to the email problem -
Telkom Internet is aware that you have been experiencing interruptions to your mail service. Investigations in collaboration with our storage vendor have isolated the cause to a storage volume on one of our mailbox servers. The affected mail server is hosting a small percentage of our customer mailboxes, which unfortunately includes your mailbox.
As an interim measure we have disabled access to the specific storage volume. This will enable you to continue sending and receiving mails while we work on the fault. Mails older than thirty days that are still stored on the server will however not be accessible until the fault has been resolved.
We would like to assure you that the matter is receiving priority attention. We thank you for your patience while we continue working towards restoring services to normality in the shortest time possible.
