I am told by my local telkom tech that my 2meg line has a 1.2meg restriction this has reduced my adsl line speed from 1.6 tp 1.8 Mbps down to 0.9Mbps and cannot be changed locally only by a Derick Finlay in Cape Town & he is unavalable.
I have had this problem sins 7/12/2015 and only after many phone calls and 2 fault ref did some one come out today & explain this to me .

@Johnquail as long as you are paying for a 2meg line you must insist on a 2meg service - usually around 1.7Mbps. If Telkom cant deliver a 2meg service, then they must stop charging you for it.

Sorry for the long delay on your reply but been away .the problem boils down to a telkom restriction of 1.2meg on my line if took 34 days to find this & get it sorted done on the 8th now when iget back it seems to be restricted again.
