Moving and upgrading

Soooo I am moving from a dsl rich area to Fibre rich area and I am being told that I cant upgrade to Fibre cause they don't have dsl in the new area and I can move cause the is no Fibre in my current area so they have no way of upgrading or moving my line.

I got told I should just cancel the account and get a new one but I like most am not that wealthy so I have received no actually worth while solutions because I am not will to pay for something I can't use as all. Any advice that could work
