Red internet light have verified user name and password been on phone to telkom twice beyond frustrated pse help

If you've already tried the Telkom support channels and on a Telkom DSL modem with a new contract or upgrade, try calling 10210 again and do a router reset. Also ask them to confirm the router’s correctly configured & verified. Specify your router model as the upgrade may have been activated but awaiting update in their system - and/or your Telkom password might be changed.
