People please note, when upgrading your line speeds and you have an uncapped ISP, you need to upgrade your isp as well. Example if you upgrade from 2meg to 10 meg and you have an uncapped ISP account. You will only get 2meg speeds. This only applies to uncapped. I see a lot of people complaining about bad speeds when they upgrade.

by "upgrade your ISP" you mean:
When you have an uncapped account, you need to call your ISP directly and upgrade it through them, not through telkom, the ISP will do the necessary contacting for it on their end, or you can spend an hour on the phone, get the line syncing at a higher speed then use the online portal of your ISP.

@Haiku_za there r plenty people out there that has an uncapped account then they call telkom to upgrade the line speed but then they complain of the bad service paying for a 10meg and getting only 2meg. Only to find they have an uncapped 2meg isp account. U can use that account on a 100meg line and they will still only get 2meg speeds.

@Haiku_za some people have left telkom as an isp and went to a competitor. They just take out an isp with no management because they have the adsl line already.

@Haiku_za I know what I am saying and I am sticking to what I said. Before 13 Oct 2015. If you wanted a 4meg adsl you could get one without taking telkom as you isp. You could go to mweb or afrihost or pietpompies and say I want u to be my isp. Now those people would want a faster line so they call telkom to upgrade from 4meg to 10meg. Telkom would upgrade the line but the isp has not been changed from 4meg uncapped to 10meg uncapped. That's what I am saying.

There are 2 components to an ADSL service
You have the choice of paying Telkom for the ADSL line, or moving the line rental to a wholesale reseller (Axxess, Afrihost, WebAfrica etc etc...)
You also have the choice of taking out an ISP account with Telkom Internet as well as with another ISP.
There are times when a customer pays Telkom for an ADSL line rental (Example: 4mbps Line), yet has a ISP account from another ISP (4mb Uncapped account). In this case, customers upgrade their ADSL Line Speed with Telkom from 4mbps to 10mbps, but forget to upgrade their ISP account from 4mb Uncapped to 10mb Uncapped.
In these instances, the customers line is syncing at 10mbps but the ISP account is still throttling them to 4mbps. They need to phone their ISP and upgrade to the 10mbps Uncapped account to match the speed of their 10Mbps ADSL Line.
