Hope this might be useful re. cancellation issues reported in the community.
Telkom explains online cancellation process improved and fully implemented from end April 18 :-
Login to MyTelkom
Select manage Accounts
Select relevant service/account:
Select cancel applicable services

Sorry no, I have no reason to cancel my Telkom services - but please do let us know whether you find the updated online process works - might help other forum members.

This is Telkom’s advice on how to cancel an account, new online facility :-
Log onto the self-service portal at www.telkom.co.za
Go to Manage My Accounts
Enter account number, starting with the number 3
Use arrows to get to “Cancel your Services”
Click on Go
Click on “Select Account” and then choose the account you want to cancel
Update requested details
Select number you want to cancel Update requested details
Upload requested documents, up to 5MB
Case number will be sent to you.

What happens when you want to cancel a device that has been stolen.... ? mine has and the referance number will be sent to that device and not mine.
Can somebody assist?
