Telkom stand alone e-mail request

Good morning. I cancelled my ADSL line on 1 February 2019 and specifically requested that my telkom e-mail address be kept as a stand alone as of 1 March 2019. On 1 March everything had been cancelled, including my e-mail address. I have been trying to get my e-mail address re-activated as a stand alone since 1 March. I spent an hour and 20 minutes this morning on the phone to 10213 and was told that they cannot activate this on their system, I must go to a Telkom store. Has anybody got info or experience in getting this sorted?
