Urgent Overseas Whatsapp Help



My wife is currently overseas and has bought a data sim in the UK so that she can use Whatsapp. She sent me a Whatsapp this morning but it is coming up as her normal Telkom mobile number. When I spoke to Telkom before she left they told me that she could not use her data overseas as her contract did not alow her to do so, which is what we wanted.


Why is her Whatsapp still coming through on her normal Telkom number? Surely the new data sim number should be linked to her Whatsapp app and that is what should be coming up?


I dont want to land up in a situation where all her local data is being used.
