closing offices without thought of the impact on the community

Telkom decided to close the Long Beach office without giving much thought to the local community who now have to travel to Tokai or Claremont in order to get service. That office was invariably so busy that one generally had to wait at least an hour to get attended to. Being in the far south of the Cape Peninsula there are few roads which connect to the rest of Cape Town. These roads are invariably extremely busy resulting in considerable delays.  to try and phone Telkom is another nightmare in itself. buy

As I said trying to make a telephone call to Telkom you  might as well take a days leave. At least if one visits A shop and talks to somebody one can usually get some resolution fairly quickly. not everybody has access the Internet.
