Good morning,


Telkom offered me a “free” upgrade to fibre. Having endless problems since then, all was working perfectly before. No information was given on the How, What and .......


Do we need a new rooter/modem now? We mostly use wi-fi.



  • The internet stopped working on the 19th August 2017.
  • I have logged faults twice and cannot get through to speak to a consultant.
  • I’m getting smse on my email password being reset after faults logged.
  • The internet light was flashing green, now it is off.
  • Vuma (fibre) company came to test their modem and line and all was working well.
  • I have tried to reset the modem 3 times and getting a “time out” fault.


Please advise asap.
