5GB March Madness Deal: No Data

Hi

 

I have recently just received my MiFi Telkom Router with 5GB data pm but there seems to be a problem. Whenever I connect with my other devices to the router my device redirects me to a Telkom page saying that credit limit reach/data has been finished/please change spend limit (something in that line). I find it very strange because I have not used any data at all since I received the device on the 10th of March.

 

I called the first operator and he said that my 5GB data bundle is only to be used in the Telkom Mobile Network area, but the operator at the Bloubergstrand Telkom Shop told me on the day when I picked up the device that even if I don't have Telkom mobile coverage in my area (which I do not have) I can select Data Roaming on the device and roam on MTN's network. This however does not seem to work as well.
