LTE Sim card activation

Need to understand why i have not connection on my new LTE Device.
Do i need to acctivate my Sim card or am i possibly missing something?

@GallowayMight help to provide more details:

 

  • what access device are you using?
  • what do the LED lights indicate - is it the SIM card that is not detected, is it the connection that is not established, how many signal bars do you have? Are you using an adaptor for the SIM Card?
  • have you set the router connection settings? Sometimes it helps to chnage to, say, "LTE Only" instead of leaving it on "Auto"

I'm experiencing the same problem, all other SIM cards work except for the LTE-A one

@Tebogo had a similar problem when LTE was first introduced. No one could solve it - until eventually I decided to walk (not literally) to the then 8ta headoffice in Centurion.

 

It turned out the the APN was not set correctly. Check these in your rotuer web configuration utility. For my old LTE router I use:

 

APN - internet2

Dialed number - *99#

User name - leave blank

password - leave blank

Authentication - Auto

I recieved my LTE router and sim on the 2nd January 2018, we arre sitting on the 7th January and the sim is still not activated. I have logged a call with the case number 26365819 on Friday the 4th January. this is totally unacceptable. can somebody help!!!
