Websites blocked

Once again, I am unable to access some websites - particularly News24. So, I'm cut off from my "morning newspaper" and I'm feeling deprived! I've tried to 'tracert' along the router path, but everything is very slow, and the path peters out before it reaches the site. Last time, this happened, it appeared that one of the Telkom routers had lost its internal routing table.

i.e.

d:\>tracert www.news24.com

Tracing route to www.news24.com [104.20.20.237]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 * * * Request timed out.
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * * * Request timed out.
5 32 ms 23 ms 18 ms telkom-internet-gw.telkom-ipnet.co.za [165.165.184.22]
6 30 ms 24 ms 19 ms rrba-ip-bng-3-wan.telkom-ipnet.co.za [165.165.184.21]
7 54 ms 32 ms 39 ms 196.43.8.45
8 43 ms 28 ms 43 ms rndf-ip-p-1-bundle-pos-104.telkom-ipnet.co.za [41.147.241.49]
9 53 ms 33 ms 41 ms nngy-ip-p-1-pos-0-0-0-0.telkom-ipnet.co.za [41.147.240.30]
10 54 ms 36 ms 40 ms nngy-ip-bpe-1-tgig-0-1-0-7.telkom-ipnet.co.za [41.147.240.74]
11 * * * Request timed out.
12 * * * Request timed out.
13 * * * Request timed out.

If any Telkom techie is reading this - can you please check if any of the routers on the path have been reset? Thanks!

Re: Websites blocked

Date 12/11/2118 - Telkom connection to local website News24 has been restored. Now, there's just the connection to 'Disqus', the international commenting site. This allows readers to read and write comments on news blogs such as Breitbart London (for European news) and Politicsweb.co.za for local news commentary. I still think that it's a failure in Telkom's router chain! This comment site  [151.101.64.134] is embedded in the news sites' Java. I can 'ping' it, and tracert to it, but it seems that the embedded Java can't load the site's data.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to direct this issue to Telkom directly? Our website, https://lms.chartallcampus.com, times out when trying to access our subdomain. However, when trying to access the main domain, https://www.chartallcampus.com, there are no issues.

If anyone can help to point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Re: Websites blocked

The Telkom Cache server with IP range 196.43.9 0 - 255 is either corrupt or blocking all outgoing traffic. You can run a traceroute from your PC to confirm this.

This is what mine look like:

5 ipc-aggr-1.south.dsl.telkomsa.net (105.226.0.13) 39.903 ms 97.886 ms 46.219 ms
6 ndn-ip-hsll-1-wan.telkom-ipnet.co.za (196.25.49.189) 60.707 ms 89.969 ms 60.410 ms
