Activate VoWiFi

Good day,

Does anyone in this communit know how to get VoWiFi activated on a SIM? I have tried the Telkom shop and call centre but for some reason the support staff have no idea what VoWiFi or wifi calling is.

We’re customers in the forum - sorry can’t help much re service issues, but hope this might be useful : -

 

I understand no “special’ sim activation is needed for VoLTE / VoWifi services .  Telkom sims are already automatically VoLTE provisioned within 24 hours of normal sim activation in your device.  So provided your phone supports VoLTE you can adjust your settings to enable the services. (  will only work on Telkom LTE network)

 

device settings :- 

Apple:
Settings ->Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options, if the display indicates Voice and Data for LTE, the device and SIM combination is capable of enabling the service, change the setting to LTE to register on VolTE and VoWi-Fi


Android:
Settings->Network and Internet-> Mobile Network-> Enable VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling, with Wi-Fi preferred.

Apparently if you have pay as you go there is no VoWIFI on the sim. Is it possible that there is a different level of service for Contract and "Pay as you go"
