Placed an order with Telkom for a smartphone with a smartplan 100 but now they say it has been refused because of a credit rating problem. My bank says I have a 5-star credit rating, but Telkom won't even listen to any discussion. What to do? They tell me to go to the nearest Telkom store (miles away and I don't have a car) and fill in a lot of forms. Why won't they just speak to my bank who could confirm that I am able to pay. When I try to explain this, they shrug. I really need this phone and I'm now thinking that I must try another provider, which is a shame.
I think they really don't want customers, their service is appalling.
