iMessage activation

Hi.

 

I have ported to Telkom Mobile a while ago, and wanted to activate iMessage on my iPhone.

 

I am regularly prompted if I want to send a message that I will be charged for, but the phone number isn't ever added to my iMessage profile.

 

Any way to solve the iMessage "Waiting for activation" message ? I am able to send/receive SMS to international numbers.

The community support here has been breath-taking. 

 

Seems the solution is to phone Apple US or UK directly, log a fault, and they'll scratch around in the back-end and get it resolved.
