I've been seeing a +44 (UK) number on my bill the last couple of months. It shows that I am sending SMS's to this number but I am 100% sure that I am not sending them. Has anyone else seen this number 00447537410257 on their bill? Charges me R1.50 per SMS, probably because it is an international number.

let me guess, you have an iPhone? you will probably see that number on your bill becuase you activated iMessage or Facetime. It sends an activation sms to the server. Think the +44 is a UK number

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if I do not follow etiquette.
I have been seeing the same number on my account, but am not sure why it keeps sending the activation message. I do get a pop-up message occassionally saying "your carrier may charge activation fees" (or something like that), but I'm not sure why it has to keep activating,nor why Telkom charges me for it.
Has anyone spoken to Telkom about it and other than deactivating face time is there anyway around it? I thought FaceTime and I message were supposed to be free....
