But I still cannot get wifi calling to work.
I tested with Cell C and it works perfectly.
One agent told me that Telkom DOES NOT have Wifi Calling.
One agent told me to go to the store.
This is really frustrating. Has anyone ever used Telkom Wifi Calling?

You should probarly buy wi fi bundles on your mobile phone that will work. You can buy 30 or 60 mins wifi bundles only if you have a router

VoLTE, VoWifi is real and it works. If you have provisioned with a device that supports wifi calling, you can turn it on and it will indicate its presence near the cellular signal strength indicator with a symbol named 'VoLTE'. Although I may not have a definite way of determining whether the call is routed through internet, the network of the service provider manages it for you.
Although VoLTE may be referred to as Voice over LTE, phones arent picky where it gets its internet from, i.e. on device internet, wifi or bluetooth tethering. If the Android phone determines a weak cellular signal it will automatically use the active internet connection to dial or receive a call.
About call rates, VoLTE, it has the same call rates as applied to cellular calls. The benefit of this is where you have no cellular signal you can still call as per normal when connected to wifi in remote locations unserviced by mobile service providers.
